How it all started
Summa Real Estate Group was started by Tim Horst and Eric Martinez. After selling real estate for over 20 years with traditional firms, Tim and Eric wanted to start a company that gave ownership and passive income to Summa Brokers so they could eventually work on the business instead of in the business. After 3 months of hard work putting the pieces together, Summa Real Estate Group moved to a one room executive suite. Within 6 months, Summa grew to over 20 agents. We quickly grew out of the executive suite and opened our Bethany Branch by the end of the year. Today, Summa is in four locations and is preparing to expand franchise opportunities out of state.
| What does Summa mean? |
| We hear this question a lot. Summa is Latin for Summit which stands for "the highest peak". We know that succeeding in business is difficult on your own. We wanted a name and logo that represented teamwork. There is not a better symbol of teamwork than a group of people set out to summit a mountain together with the proper equipment and teamwork needed between individuals. We provide our Brokers with the proper tools and promote the same sense of teamwork needed to build their own business. |
A New Concept in Real Estate
Summa Real Estate Group has a unique relationship with our Brokers. We are a coop of business owner brokers who have a business owner to business owner mentality. This is very different from the "working as a salesperson for the company" mentality. Although this may seem insignificant, we found that it unlocks the creative ideas and the entrepreneurial spirit that has made America so great.
Summa Real Estate Group has created a company culture unlike most in our industry. We value teamwork between brokers. There is a sense of ownership shared amongst all due to our unique profit sharing program. At Summa Real Estate Group, Brokers can build their own branch under our umbrella.
Summa Real Estate Group believes that a highly trained Broker given the proper tools will not only excel in our industry, but will enjoy themselves along the way. We are a positive group where we all share our inovative ideas with each other to help the company and individuals succeed. Our Brokers tend to work very hard for their clients, but also have a lot of fun along the way.
